About the Role
The Town of West Newbury seeks qualified candidates for a full-time, non-civil service Massachusetts Certified Police Officer. Applicants must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a driver’s license, a Massachusetts license to carry firearms, and POST certification. Full-time MPTC Academy certification is strongly preferred but not necessary. Non-full-time certified and Bridge Academy certified applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years old
U.S. citizen
High School diploma, or equivalent, required,
Reside within 30 miles of West Newbury after hiring
Successfully pass a background check
Medical exam
Psychological exam
